Course Descriptiona. In Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics you will learn skills that will help get you into the industry. Learning a variety of makeup techniques, such as day, bridal, photography and skincare. b. During the course you will work both as a part of a team and individually. You will come into contact with a range of different people and will work standing for extended periods of time. c. You will need to enjoy practical work and working on other students d. This is high in practical with 70% practical and 30% theory. e. Students will be required to keep a folio of evidence in the form of photographs of their work. Competencies will require students to complete a theory test. A logbook will be used to keep record of all work completed and practical assessments. f. Students will work on each other when learning new skills. g. Students will be required to wear flat, closed in shoes during the course. h. Students will be required to wear uniform - Black TAFESA Tee- shirt and black pants.
PathwaysFrom this course you can further your studies in Certificate III in Makeup and Certificate III in Beauty.

Other RequirementsStudents are expected to wear black, fully closed in black shoes, and bring a pen and USB to every session. Students will need to purchase a kit and bring it to every lesson.

Cost NotesDepartment for Education Non-NASSSA students enrolling will incur a $250.00 additional Administration fee (Full year course – pro rata for semester/term courses). Non-Department for Education students enrolling will incur a $1,000.00 administration fee. (Full year course – pro rata for semester/term courses) Enrolments for both these groups of students MUST be done through the Web VET Administrator.

Orientation DetailsCourse orientation for all students will be on the first day of training
Public TransportTrain to Elizabeth Interchange, then Bus 440 to TAFE SA. Regular buses run between Elizabeth TAFE and Salisbury (224, 228), Craigmore (442, 443), Munno Para (440, 451, 452), Davoren Park (451, 452), Parafield Gardens (224) and Andrews Farm (451, 452). Trains from Gawler, Munno Para, Parafield Gardens and Salisbury all stop at the neighbouring Elizabeth Railway Station.
