DescriptionAll students would attend the classroom facilitated sessions over sixteen (16) weeks to complete the designated VET TLI careers pathway program. This training program provides students with the knowledge and understanding of relevant industry skills and knowledge as required in the transport and logistics industry. The tailored VET.Transport and Logistics Industry (TLI) careers pathway program will cover the following areas: . Manual handling . Occupational health and safety procedures . Fatigue management . Workplace documentation & calculations . Interpret road maps and navigate pre-determined routes . Workplace orientation/induction procedures . Service skills . Chain of responsibility regulations . Customer . Estimate/calculate mass, area and quantify dimensions . Receival/despatch documentation . Load restraint . Creating resumes which stand out This program is designed to allow for questions and interaction with our trainer(s) who have had the relevant industry experience. Assignments will be completed in class and generally home work is not required, unless a student is absent for a session or requires additional time/support.The final practical assessment will be undertaken at either our site or the school base location (depending on further discussions with NASSSA) to ensure the students have absorbed the knowledge and developed the skills to be job ready. Students will also have a practical application for units such as, but not limited to: TLID2004A - Load and unload goods/cargo (load restraint) TLID1001A - Shift materials safely using manual handling methods (manual handling) TLIA3015A - Complete receival/despatch documentation To complete the VET TLI careers pathway program all students will be required to undertake a final assessment which will involve a practical component. Details to be confirmed. All students, that meet competency, will receive a Transcript of the relevant national units of competency which are completed from the TLI31216 - Certificate Ill in Driving Operations.

Entry RequirementsMinimum level of literacy and numeracy required - ACSF 2 for both.
Other RequirementsEach student is required to bring an exercise book and a pen to every session.

Cost NotesDepartment for Education Non-NASSSA students enrolling will incur a $250.00 additional Administration fee (Full year course- pro rata for semester/term courses). Non-Department for Education students enrolling will incur a $1,000.00 administration fee. (Full year course- pro rata for semester/term courses) Enrolments for both these groups of students MUST be done through the WebVET Administrator.
