DescriptionThis is a nationally accredited qualification that will give students the opportunity to gain employment as a Nursing Assistant, Aged Carer or Allied Health Assistant; working under the direction of social workers, Physiotherapists, Nutrition & Dietetics, Speech Pathologists Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Doctors and Nursing staff. Students will be introduced to work related practical and theory skills including team work tasks, communicating with others, OH&S, infection control, terminology, body systems and assisting a range of staff. Students will practice attending to clients and movement of clients in our school based health skills centre. Students will also gain their Senior First Aid, Child-safe environments, and No lift No Injury - Follow safe manual handling certificates.
