Course DescriptionBuilding Links is designed to give students hands-on experience by renovating and remodelling existing Housing SA properties. This course combines structured workplace training at a live construction site, practical work sessions and theory. You will learn about the processes, materials, tools and equipment used and develop specialised skills and knowledge associated with construction industry.
PathwaysSkills achieved will assist students in undertaking a Certificate III or entering an Australian Apprenticeship in the building and construction industry.
Entry RequirementsWhite Card must be achieved before students can access the construction site. This will be delivered within the cost of the course by SYC in the first 3 weeks of training.

If a student is TGSS eligible, this course is fully funded. For students becoming eligible during the year, semester 1 cost is $1,200 and then the TGSS forms approved would fund semester 2.

Please note: This course is a Training Guarantee for SACE students (TGSS) approved course. SYC is a TGSS approved provider and can deliver subsidised training to secondary students.* TGSS Students must complete an application form and have approval prior to commencing the course. Non TGSS students will be charged a course fee.

Cost NotesDepartment for Education Non-NASSSA students enrolling will incur a $50.00 additional Administration fee (Full year course – pro rata for semester/term courses). Non-Department for Education students enrolling will incur a $250.00 administration fee.
