Course Description | Empowerdance Certificate III in Dance will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to demonstrate a range of technical skills in solo and group dance performances.
In addition students will:
Demonstrate understanding of a broad dance creation and performance knowledge base incorporating some theoretical dance concepts
Apply creative and technical solutions to a defined range of unpredictable dance performance related problems
Identify and apply dance skills and knowledge to a wide variety of dance performance contexts with depth in some dance specific areas
Identify, analyse and evaluate information relevant to the creative and performing arts industry, specifically dance, from a variety of sources
Take responsibility for their own creative and technical dance performance in relation to specified quality standards
Take limited responsibility for the quantity and quality of the dance performance of others. |

Entry Requirements | There are no prerequisites for this course. |
Other Requirements | Students are required to bring a book for taking notes, something to write with and USB. Students will be accessing an online portal for their theory components and will need access to a laptop. Students can bring their own device and connect to the PGHS network or they can borrow a laptop from Parafield Gardens High School when needed.
Students may need to access external dance classes if attendance to training days is low. |

Training Cost | $2,200.00 including GST TGSS is not applicable as the course is delivered by a teacher trainer. |

Cost Notes | Department for Education Non-NASSSA students enrolling will incur a $50.00 additional Administration fee (Full year course – pro rata for semester/term courses). Non-Department for Education students enrolling will incur a $250.00 administration fee. (Full year course – pro rata for semester/term courses) Enrolments for both these groups of students MUST be done through the WebVET Administrator. |
